How To Take a Screenshot on Your Windows Computer (All Windows)


I was doing some stuffs on my laptop this morning when a client required me to take a screenshot of my PC screen and send to him. WTF, occurred to me at that point that I didn’t know how to take a screenshot on a computer.

Damn, I tried so many keys on my PC but none worked. Unbelievable, I’ve been screenshotting since ages but ordinary how to screenshot my computer screen, I couldn’t. I had to make research before I was able to overcome the conundrum.

I know some of us have been stuck in this situation before or you probably needed a solution right away and you landed on this page. Well you’ve come to the right place. In this tutorial, I’ll teach how to screenshot your computer screen on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Let’s get cracking.


It’s quite something easy to do. Simply locate the PrtSc key on your keyboard. It is located at the upper right hand corner of your keyboard, just above the Backspace key. You found it right, good. Simply press it to take the screenshot of the screen you desire.

After you’ve pressed it, you need to paste it into any image editing software in your computer because the picture has been copied already.

The basic image editing tool in every computer is Paint. Open Paint in your list of applications, then press Ctrl + V to paste the image into Paint. You can edit the image as desired and save it when you are done.

This tutorial is also applicable to Photoshop or any image editing tool you have..
